New analysis: Green energy bigger security threat than Russia to US | Eastern NC Now

A new analysis reported at Breitbart shows that the push for "green energy", wind and solar, at the expense of coal and nuclear is a bigger security threat to the US and the western world generally than even the aggressions of Russia.  Wind and solar are both expensive and unreliable, and they need gas backup.  That gas backup gives countries like Russia and Iran too much opportunity to crash the west's energy market, Russia because it is a big source of gas supply to Europe and Iran because it can easily block the Straights of Hormuz, blocking major gas supplier Qatar.  Nuclear and coal are cheap and dependable and can be run from domestic supply sources.  This climate alarmist push for wind and solar is also a much bigger factor in driving up energy prices than the Russian invasion of Ukraine.  Further, China dominates the supply chain for both wind and solar production equipment but not for goal and nuclear.

The Biden regime is all-in for wind and solar, and has been blocking more domestic production of oil and gas while being silent on nuclear.  They are even blocking non-Russian sources of gas for Europe. Only a week ago, while the Ukraine crisis was building and they should have known better, they let climate alarmist ideology trump common sense and blocked a new gas pipeline from Mediterrian gas fields belonging to Israel and Cyprus which would have run through Greece to Italy

Here is North Carolina the anti-coal gang which is threatening our energy security and electric rates includes not only leftie Governor Roy Cooper but also the RINO leadership of the legislature which pushed through Cooper's radical green energy plan, HB951, that seeks to eliminate coal fired power plants in NC.  One of those who stabbed NC electric customers in the back on that legislation is the new Senator assigned to the new district that includes Beaufort County, RINO Jim Perry of Kinston.
