Russian stocks drop 98% on London exchange

ENCNow

Russia's rouble has turned to rubble since Russia started its brutal invasion of Ukraine as it has been in freefall, losing half its value.  While Russia closed its own stock market to trading, Russian stocks can still be bought and sold on the London stock exchange, and there, they have lost 98% of their value.  Major international oil companies BP and Shall have abandoned their Russian operations.  The operator of the NordStream 2 pipeline has filed for bankruptcy and fired all its employees.  70% of Russia's oil exports were frozen as major exporter Surgut failed to find buyers for any of their big tenders. For the average Russian,  the Apple and Google payments systems blocked Russians creating chaos on the Moscow subway where many Russians use those systems to buy tickets.
