Dr. Jeff Barwick joins Birdsong Orthopedic Group | Eastern NC Now

Birdsong Orthopedic Group specializes in orthopedic care that involves the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system.

    Dr. Edward Birdsong and the staff of Birdsong Orthopedic Group are pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Jeff Barwick to their practice. Dr. Barwick will begin employment with the practice today.

    Barwick received his medical degree from the East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine in 2004 and his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1996. He completed his residency training at Akron General Medical Center in Akron, Ohio, where he served as chief resident. Recently, he was a Trauma Fellow at the University of Tennessee/Erlanger Health Systems.

    Barwick participated in a yearlong Medical Mission Project in Guatemala and was the co-founder and organizer of Rotaract (a Rotary sponsored club) with the Brody School of Medicine. Barwick and his wife have recently relocated to Washington from Lookout Mountain, Tenn. They are expecting their first child. During his free time, Barwick enjoys athletics, cooking and photography.

    Birdsong Orthopedic Group specializes in orthopedic care that involves the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system. The group specializes in the treatment of the bones and joints of the arms, legs, feet and hands—as well as the associated nerves, ligaments, tendons and muscles.

    Office hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., by appointment. Birdsong Orthopedic Group is located at 1207 Highland Drive and is currently accepting new patients. They can be reached at 252-946-6515.
