Texas opens new front in war on illegal immigration with border slowdowns | Eastern NC Now

new truck inspection policy has trucks lined up to the horizon

ENCNow

Texas Governor Abbott has opened a new front in his war on Biden's open borders policies for illegal alien migrants.  Abbott has implemented new drug inspections and enhanced safety inspections for trucks crossing the Texas border from Mexico.  This has led to massive lines of trucks backed up for miles, back to the horizon.  For the US companies with manufacturing plants in northern Mexico, this creates a bottleneck, and for Mexican states that depend on jobs in those factories, it creates a big incentive for those Mexican states to press Mexico's national government to shut down the flow of illegal aliens.

Governor Abbott is also calling out more Texas National Guard troops and state law enforcement for deployment to the border.  He has also started bussing illegal aliens from Texas to Washington, DC.
