Budd Skips Second Debate, Hides From Voters | Eastern North Carolina Now

Second straight debate dodge from DC insider

ENCNow
Press Release:

Raleigh     While Congressman Ted Budd skips his second televised debate of the US Senate race, Governor Pat McCrory is participating from WRAL studios in Raleigh. Budd, who was challenged to attend the debate by McCrory at an in-person event in Charlotte yesterday, continues his track record of refusing to answer tough questions while he hides behind the DC interest group bankrolling his candidacy.

Budd's refusal to debate in front of the voters follows a litany of excuses and dodges - demonstrating his weakness as a candidate and inability to effectively compete in a general election. He is unwilling and unable to defend his own record on George Soros, on bankrupting America's farmers, on voting against the Border Wall, against sanctioning Russia, and against military pay increases.

"I make this challenge to you: show up at the debate tomorrow night," McCrory said yesterday to Budd. "If you can't debate among us, you can't debate the Democrats and expect to win."

What BS from RINO McCrory. A "debate" run by an organization funded by McCrory's former Budget Director is simply NOT going to be an objective "debate" and neither is one run by the left wing media like far left WRAL. I like the attitude of the Republican National Committee in withdrawing themselves and their candidates from the Committee on Presidential Debates, which always rigged their "debates" for the left. Without an honest and objective debate format, candidates should avoid these events. Otherwise the left will keep rigging them. The best debate format is the Lincoln-Douglas format, where there are NO questions from any moderator or panel which is likely to be biased. Each candidate poses an equal number of questions. That creates a fair shake for everybody.

I do believe congress is still in session and Ted Budd is still ahead in what polls that are available, so, this might explain why the missing of these debates.
