Trump endorsed candidates sweep Ohio and Indiana primaries | Eastern NC Now

follows similar result in Texas; Trump endorsements now 55 - 0

ENCNow

Trump endorsed candidates swept the Ohio and Indiana Republican primaries, repeating what had previously happened in Texas.  Trump endorsements are now 55 to zero in GOP primaries.  Here in North Carolina, Trump endorsed conservative Congressman Ted Budd has a wide lead in our senate primary according to the polls.

The most important primary race was for US Senate in Ohio, where the GOP incumbent is retiring.  Populist nationalist J.D. Vance was Trump's endorsed candidate there, and topped a field that included traditional conservative former Secretary of State Josh Mandel, backed by the Club for Growth and the Senate Conservatives Fund, and several establishment Republicans including one who was openly a Never Trumper.  (In North Carolina, the Club for Growth and Senate Conservatives Fund are both backing Trump-endorsed Ted Budd).
