McCrory Statement on Election Results | Beaufort County Now | Charlotte – Former Governor Pat McCrory released the following statement tonight regarding the results of the US Senate Republican primary election in North Carolina:

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)
Press Release:

Charlotte     Former Governor Pat McCrory released the following statement tonight regarding the results of the US Senate Republican primary election in North Carolina:

"While I'm disappointed by the election results tonight, I'm proud of the race we ran. We told the truth, championed conservative principles and results, and made character and achievement central to our message. I'll continue to advocate for the kind of Republican party that believes in truth, integrity, vigorous debate, character and achievement. I still believe in that party, and that our obligation to the next generation is more important than the next election. I look forward to participating in that conversation in the future."

It was not a well considered campaign.

Probably, everyone associated with McCrory would have been money ahead if they would have dropped out after the early Trump endorsement.

Good riddance to a pompous fake. McCrory was a terrible governor and would have been a terrible senator, a RINO through and through. McCrory mostly ran his campaign on telling malicious lies on his main opponents. We do not need his kind in NC politics.
