candidate suppression by Michigan Dems is massive vote suppression | Eastern NC Now

Michigan Democrats have made themselves the kings of voter suppression in 2022, using similar tactics to Vladimir Putin in Russian elections,  by candidate suppression, knocking five Republican candidates for governor off the ballot in a party line vote of its Board of Canvassers.  Included were both of the leading GOP candidates, black conservative former Detroit police chief Craig James, who leads in the polls, and businessman Perry Johnson who leads in fundraising.

By knocking the strong GOP candidates off the primary ballot, the Democrats hope to protect controversial incumbent Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer, who is in trouble in the polls.  Thus candidate suppression becomes voter suppression.  For the Republicans, the Democrat elections staff disqualified whole sheets of signatures when they found one signature incorrect.  The Board of Canvassers tied 2 to 2 with the Democrat members voting for the staff position and the two Republicans voting against. On a tie vote, the staff position stands.

Johnson has already filed a lawsuit to stop this political hatchet job and James is expected to join him.

This is the very same technique that Vladimir Putin uses to avoid having to run against serious challengers in Russian "elections".  His minions simply disqualify any serious opponent who poses a real challenge.  They do the same to entire parties in parliamentary elections.

Don't expect corporate media or woke corporations to complain against real voter suppression, however.  They only squawk about fake Democrat claims of voter suppression.   Delta Airlines bellyached about the fake Democrat claims in Georgia and they have a hub in Detroit, Michigan, but don't expect them to make a peep about real voter suppression in Michigan.
