Illinois sees huge electric rate hike due to rush to ''green'' energy | Eastern NC Now

risk of blackouts also peaking

ENCNow

Illinois is the latest example of the green energy craze driving up electric rates and increasing the risk of blackouts.  Lack of reliable supply that is inherent in putting lots of wind and solar in the mix is causing huge rate hikes.  One service area saw rates double from one month to the next.  Another saw an increase of 54% in one month.  At the same time, most of Illinois is under high risk of brownouts or rolling blackouts this summer.

North Carolina is following the same insane path as Illinois, with adoption of the NC Green New Deal HB951.  It is no surprise that leftwing Governor Roy Cooper supported that monstrosity, but that RINO legislative leaders Phil Berger and Tim Moore caved in and delivered that radical left legislation to him is appalling.  The state senator who  Beaufort County inherited, Jim Perry (RINO-Kinston) also played a major role in pushing that loony left legislation.
