SCOTUS blocks EPA power grab on energy | Eastern NC Now

The US Supreme Court has shot down the Obama-era Clean Power Plan by 6 to 3, ruling that Congress did not grant the EPA the power that it was trying to exercise on the electric grid.   In the Clean Power Plan, the EPA was trying to force utilities to quit using cheap and dependable coal to generate electricity and replace it with expensive and unreliable weather-dependent wind and solar.  This ruling throws a monkey wrench into the climate alarmist agenda of the Biden regime.

Unfortunately for North Carolina, the RINOs in our legislative leadership, Phil Berger and Tim Moore have legislatively done this to our state already, in collusion with Roy Cooper.  HB951, North Carolina's Green New Deal is even more radical than the Green Deal passed by the European Union.   The state senator who will represent Beaufort County beginning in January, Jim Perry (RINO-Kinston) was a major player in pushing this fiasco through the legislature.

The immediate Past President of the Czech Republic, Dr. Vaclav Klaus, hit the nail on the head when he described climate alarmism as "a budding totalitarian ideology that is the greatest threat to freedom, democracy, and prosperity in the world today."
