Gallup poll: trust in media sinks further - to 11% | Eastern NC Now

According to the latest Gallup poll, trust in the establishment media has sunk to a new low with only 11% of Americans having "a great deal" of "quite a lot" of confidence in the media.  This has come as Americans increasingly perceive the establishment media has become highly biased and partisan.

Among Republicans and Independents, only 8% said they trust the television networks and even among Democrats, it was only 20%, falling by 6 points from last year.  As to newspapers, they are trusted by 5% of Republicans, 7% of independents, and 35% of Democrats.
