Sri Lanka becomes first country wrecked by climate hysteria | Eastern NC Now

Sri Lanka, formerly known as Ceylon, a large island south of India that is home to 22 million people, has become the first country to collapse as a result of climate hysteria and its government's climate alarmist policies.  Mob rule has followed the country's running out of money, energy, and food from the government's climate alarmist policies.  The Presidential Palace has been occupied by the mobs, who have also burned down the prime minister's private home.  Both have announced their resignations and are in hiding.  The Speaker of Parliament is trying to cobble together an emergency all-party government.

UPDATE: There are reports that the president has fled the country by ship.

All of this started with Sri Lanka's socialist government adopting "green" policies advocated by the World Economic Forum (Davos), including their restrictions on Nitrogen in fertilizer.  That led to a collapse in agricultural production, including exports.  The government put the WEF's "ESG" (Environment, Social Justice, Governance) agenda ahead of practical considerations of proper economic policies.  Now there are shortages of everything - food, energy, money, medicine, etc.

The EU, and most specifically the Netherlands, is pushing the very same destructive path that led to the collapse of Sri Lanka.  Farmers understand where this will lead and are vigorously fighting back.  The Biden regime is pushing elements of this destructive agenda here.
