Assassination attempt on GOP NY governor candidate fails | Eastern North Carolina Now

A man wielding a blade and yelling "You're done!" jumped on stage where New York Republican candidate for governor, Congressman Lee Zeldin, was speaking and attempted to stab him in the neck.  Zeldin grabbed the assassin's wrist, preventing the blade from penetrating until others helped wrestle the attacker to the ground.  The weapon was a pair of brass knuckles with two blades affixed.

It developed that the Democrat incumbent, Governor Kathy Hochul, a leftwinger, had sent out emails urging her supporters to go to the Zeldin speech.

This comes after an assassin who was attempting to attack Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh was arrested a short distance from his house after travelling across the country to make the attack.  It also comes after Democrats refused security protection for Supreme Court justices and refused to enforce federal laws about demonstration outside the homes of judicial officials.

The hate being spewed by Democrats will sooner or later result in a tragedy.

UPDATE:  As Zeldin predicted, under New York's absurd pro-criminal bail laws, the attempted assassin was released on his own recognisance.
