Sheriff tells citizens to tell ATF agents w/o warrants to leave | Eastern NC Now
ATF agents knocking on doors wanting to "inspect" weapons
Another county sheriff is standing up for the Constitution and for citizens against overbearing federal agents. Klickitat County, Washington, sheriff Bob Songer, after learning that ATF agents in other states were showing up at homes of people who had recently bought guns and asking to "inspect" the guns, issued advise to citizens of his county that if such federal agents showed in his county doing that, citizens should tell them to leave unless they had a search warrant. Other sheriffs in areas where such encounters have actually been occurring, such as in New Jersey have been giving citizens similar advise.
