Illegal immigration, China divide Conservative PM candidates in UK | Eastern NC Now

Truss takes hard line on both

ENCNow

Illegal immigration and standing up to China have become key issues in the race for leadership of the Conservative Party and thus Prime Minister of the UK, as the balloting has shifted from Conservative members of parliament to the 160,000 dues paid members of the British Conservative Party.  The two contenders who were left standing after multiple ballots by Conservative MP's are former Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak, who has a history of being tight with the World Economic Forum and the Chinese, and former Foreign Secretary Liz Truss, who switched her affiliation from the left of center Liberal Democratic Party years ago, and now sells herself as the second coming of Margaret Thatcher.  Truss has been supported throughout by the European Research Group (ERG), the pro-Brexit caucus in the House of Commons.

Truss has pledged to increase deportations of illegal aliens and increase border security, while Sunak says illegal alien migrants "are not bad people".  Some are pointing out that one of the recent boat migrants to the UK was charged in Austria with the rape and murder of an underage Austrian girl.  Truss has said she will send any asylum seekers to third countries for processing rather than let them into the UK.

Former Conservative Party leader Ian Duncan Smith, a small "c" Conservative has publicly blasted Sunak for a long list of pro-China positions and praised Truss for her tough on China policies.

Taxes have also been a big issue as Truss has called for immediate tax cuts, including the green energy levy, and pointed out that Sunak, as Chancellor of the Exchequer had put through the largest tax increase in British history.

The key thing the next British Prime Minister needs to do to get control of illegal immigration is to exit the pro-migrant European Court of Human Rights. Their rulings are awful, such as ordering a Muslim radical not be deported due to his "right to a family life" with his CAT! Right now they are blocking the transfer of illegal aliens to Rwanda for processing. The UK should quit that crooked court.
