radical British communist scientist gets top post at W.H.O. | Eastern NC Now

Professor Susan Michie, who has been a dues paying member of the British Communist Party for forty years and was dubbed by colleagues "Stalin's Nanny" for her radical views, has been appointed to a top position at the World Health Organization (W.H.O.).  As Chair of the WHO's Technical Advisory Group for Behavorial Insights and Science for Health, she will, among other things advise on methods to obtain compliance with W.H.O. policy.

Michie has served on the UK's SAGE Committee of scientists advising the UK government on response to the Covid outbreak, and appearing on Channel 5 in that capacity urged that masks and social distancing be required permanently.  She was accused of conflict of interest in her SAGE role, as she was also a member of an outside group that was demanding rigid Chinese style Covid lockdowns in the UK.
