19 state AG's go after Blackrock for ESG investing | Eastern NC Now

conservatives should pull funds out of far left Blackrock

ENCNow

The attorney generals of 19 states have written a letter to Blackrock CEO Larry Fink (an appropriate last name) demanding he stop using ESG criteria on investments for state pension funds, and instead look to maximize returns for state employees.  ESG (Environment, Social Justice, Governance) is a far left scheme to use leftwing ideological criteria to guide investing.  Using ESG instead of maximizing returns is a violation of fiduciary duty, and is likely to lead to lawsuits by the states.

Fink has long been a leading figure at the World Economic Forum functions at Davos.  Blackrock also handles funds for lots of retail investors and their ESG approach threatens returns for those clients.
