Women member of Salvini's Lega Party hospitalized
Italy's parliamentary election is in full swing and polls show an anti-immigration coalition of populist and traditional conservative parties with a significant lead. Now, an attack by a Muslim migrant has hospitalized a woman member of the Italian Parliament from the Lega Party of populist / nationalist Matteo Salvini.
A 22-year old Muslim migrant threw rocks off of a bridge and struck the car occupied by Member of Parliament Claudia Gobbato, who has been hospitalized with her injuries, which do not appear to be life threatening. When apprehended by police, the migrant threatened to kill himself with a sharp instrument but was tasered and subdued by police.
