Repatriation tweet by populist Swedish MP stirs immigration issue | Eastern NC Now
parliamentary election coming Sept. 11
A tweet on repatriation of illegal aliens by Sweden Democrat member of parliament and party Justice spokesman Tobias Andersson has gone viral as Sweden's parliamentary election is just weeks away. Andersson's tweet showed a picture of a train with the Sweden Democrat colors and emblem, and said "Welcome to the repatriation train. You hold a one way ticket. Next stop Kabul."
The Sweden Democrats are a populist / nationalist anti-immigration party. Their party chairman recently co-authored an op-ed in a leading Stockholm newspaper with the chairman of the Moderate Party calling on implementing "remigration" back to their home countries of migrants who were long term unemployed or failed to assimilate into Swedish society.
The Swedish parliamentary election is September 11, and recent polls show a coalition of the Sweden Democrats, the Moderates, the Liberals, and the Christian Democrats approaching 50 percent while the governing Social Democrats are in the lower 30s.

It is very encouraging that 2 of the 3 parties running in double digits in the polls in Sweden take strong stands against illegal immigration.
