Chile defeats progressive new constitution in landslide | Eastern NC Now
62% of voters say NO to socialist document
Progressives had gotten control of Chile's constitutional convention and stuffed the new document with all sorts of far-left dogma like a right to an abortion, LGBT and gender "rights", socialized medicine, free housing, strict environmental regulation, and more welfare.
The people of Chile voted it down decisively in a referendum with 62% for against the new constitution.
