US media and politicians are celebrating the Ukrainian offensive in the region north of Kharkiv. What they fail to mention is the fact the Ukrainian assault is being spearheaded by the neo-Nazi Azov Regiment.

The Azov Regiment was long decried in western media as a neo-Nazi militia, until the Russian invasion of Ukraine, when they were suddenly white-washed as just another part of the Ukrainian military. Congress banned US arms aid to the Azov Regiment in 2018.

A 2016 report by the Foundation for the Study of Democracy for the OSCE accused the Azov Regiment of systematically torturing prisoners.

All the truth one day will come out. And it will probably surprise all us.
For some reason I suspect that Biden is getting kick backs from all our money he is sending to Ukraine. Why is the govt. stripping all our strategic reserve of oil and military weapons leaving us short leaving us wide open to being attacked?

The organization that authored that report you quote from, the "Foundation for the Study of Democracy" is an organization that has a history of supporting Putin's foreign interference, particularly in Syria and Ukraine. It is pro-Putin and gets cited on Russian media like sputniknews. The source I cited, on the other hand, is the largest circulation daily newspaper in the UK. The words of Putin apologists are not trustworthy. Putin is the biggest and most aggressive fascist in today's world, but like Biden, he likes to use that term for others.

Personally I think we are being fed a bunch of propaganda on both sides. Sort of have to choose which news site is lying the least, since the media from what I have read are being banned from the actual areas.

And who does that article in The Hill quote? Far left Democrat Congressman Ro Khanna of California who always has been anti-Ukraine. So, he or someone slipped a provision in a 2,200 page spending bill? It is unlikely that most members of Congress even knew it was there or impacted how they voted on that omnibus spending bill.

The Azoz Battalion surrendered at Mariupol, where they were surrounded and running out of supplies, and are being held in POW camps in the Donbas. One of those camps was shelled by the Russians and many of the prisoners killed, but it is not clear if that was Azoz prisoners or others. With Russians holding them, those prisoners still alive are certain to be in very dire conditions.

It is the Russians who are doing the torture, rape, and murder of civilians in Ukraine and they are doing it on a widespread basis. Read the article in the UK's largest circulation newspaper, the Daily Mail that I posted.

What poppycock, which is not usual for the GP, but they seem to have gotten bad dope from a Russian troll. The Azov regiment was based in Mariupol on the Sea of Azov, hence its name, and was surrounded and captured there after fighting a valiant defense of the city. They use some of the WWII symbols of Ukrainian nationalists who fought for their independence against the USSR and allied to the Germans for assistance.

If you want to see the main actual fascist in this war, his name is Vladimir Putin. His minions are also fascists. Putin calling others "fascists" is about like Biden calling Trump supporters "semi-fascist". Both of them need to look in a mirror when they use such language.
