Grid scale green energy storage battery fire in CA | Eastern NC Now

lesson for NC on our Green New Deal (HB951)

ENCNow

Roy Cooper and others promoting switching to expensive and unreliable wind and solar energy tout large grid scale lithium storage batteries for their system.  That is a key component of their concept of NC's Green New Deal put forward in HB951. The problem is that those batteries have a tendency to spontaneously combust and burn up as has already happened in Belgium, South Korea, and Australia.

Now it has happened again at the largest grid scale green energy lithium storage battery installed in the US.  The huge lithium battery made by Tesla was installed at Moss Landing, California to store wind and solar electric power.  A few months back, it overheated and had to be shut down for an extended period to try to find the cause.  After it was turned back on, it spontaneously combusted, forcing closure of a nearby highway due to the toxic smoke of burning lithium.

What were those RINO morons Phil Berger and Tim Moore thinking to push this crap on North Carolina?
