    (Raleigh, NC) Lt. Governor Elect Dan Forest today named the hiring of the following staff:

    Hal Weatherman to serve as his Chief of Staff

    Jamey Falkenbury to serve as Director of Operations

    Kelsey Crum as Director of Constituent Services

    Hal Weatherman is the former longtime Chief of Staff for former Ninth Congressional District Congresswoman Sue Myrick. Weatherman is a graduate of Wake Forest University and received his Masters Degree from Wheaton College. Weatherman managed the campaign of Forest's successful run for office. Married with three children, his family will relocate from Charlotte where they currently reside. Weatherman will be in charge of the day to day operations of the office of Lt. Governor and will handle media relations and policy development for the office.

    Jamey Falkenbury is the former Office Manager for Congresswoman Sue Myrick. Prior to that, he served as a Trade Assistant with the South Carolina World Trade Center. Falkenbury is a graduate of Elon University and received his Master's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business from The Citadel. He is a Concord native. Falkenbury will be in charge of scheduling and logistics and will be involved in policy development.

    Kelsey Crum is a recent graduate of Appalachian State University. She is the former chair of the Appalachian State College Republicans and former chair of Young Americans for Romney at Appalachian State. Kelsey will be in charge of constituent services and community outreach for the office of Lt. Governor.

    Forest will take the oath of office of Lt. Governor Monday, January 7, 2013 at noon in a private ceremony in the Old Senate Chambers of the State Capitol Building.

School announced yesterday that the so called forums at Chocowinity Middle School tonight (April 29,2025) and S.W. Snowden (Thursday May 1, 2025) have been cancelled pending the managers proposed budget.
