Opportunist Corey Rogerson tries to be all things to all people | Eastern North Carolina Now | talking out of both sides of his mouth

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

Wow!  Never has Beaufort County seen an opportunist like Corey Rogerson, the liberal Democrat candidate for sheriff.  He got the blessing of and huge political contribution from leftwing political kingpin Herman Gaskins.  That would not have happened without Rogerson giving Gaskins assurances that he would be a good little progressive Democrat.

Now, Rogerson's campaigners are going around in conservative areas of the county claiming that he plans to switch to Republican after he is elected.  One can be sure he has not told his buddy Gaskins that.

Rogerson's campaign is trying to tell people what they thingkthose people want to hear. That is not an  honest way to campaign.

Rogerson joined the Sheriff's department under controversial former sheriff Alan Jordan who required all of his deputies to be Democrats.  Under Ernie Coleman, Rogerson re-registered as an Unaffiliated.  If he wanted to be a Republican, it would seem that working under a Republican sheriff, that is how he would register, but he didn't.  He registered Unaffiliated.  Then after being fired by Sheriff Coleman, Rogerson became a Democrat again and filed for office as a Democrat.

Rogerson owes his soul to woke liberal Democrat Herman Gaskins, and when his campaigners try to say he will switch to Republican if he is elected, they are blowing smoke.

Has Rogerson ever come clean about why he was fired by both the sheriff's department and the Washington police department?

No Republicans I know are fooled by Corey Rogerson. Why would anyone believe his handlers claiming he will switch to Republican. Rogerson had plenty of opportunity to switch to Republican during the years he worked for a Republican sheriff, but Rogerson did NOT. After being bankrolled in this campaign by big time Democrat operators, why in the world would anybody believe he would do it in the future.

The questions Rogerson needs to answer are why was he fired by the Beaufrot County Sheriff's Department and the Washington Police Department?

Corey Rogerson is a real piece of work. He is all about power (for himself) and not about principle. He is the candidate of the Alan Jordan mafia that still runs our sheriff's department even after Ernie Coleman was the figurehead for eight years.
