Frankie Waters resigns from BC GOP Exec Comm over disloyalty | Eastern NC Now

gave $250 to Democrat sheriff candidate

ENCNow

RINO County Commissioner Frankie Waters resigned Wednesday from the Beaufot County Republican Executive Committee after being confronted over his support for the Democrat candidate for sheriff, which included at least one social media posting, attendance at a campaign event,  and a contribution of $250 to the Democrat.  This constitutes party disloyalty under the state and county Republican Party governing instruments.

Frankie Waters was a lifelong active Democrat before switching his registration to Republican weeks before he filed to run for commissioner as a Republican. Even during that first campaign, his wife was still contributing to Democrats.

Can we get Frankie Waters to resign as a commissioner, too? Maybe then some of this stupid spending the county has been doing will end and we can get our taxes down.
