Texas to deploy Nat'l Guard and armored vehicles to stop migrants | Eastern NC Now

after Texas governor invokes invasion clause of Constitution

ENCNow

Following the lead of several European countries that have done so, Texas is deploying armored vehicles and National Guard troops to its southern border to stop the invasion by illegal alien migrants.  This comes after Texas Governor Abbot invoked the Invasion Cluase of the federal and state Constitutions.

We can only hope that Texas' National Guard will be given rules of engagement similar to those Latvia's government gave its armed forces on dealing with illegal aliens, to use whatever level of force is necessary to stop migrants from crossing the border.

Glad to see at least one state is going to do something to stop the illegal invasion into their state.
IMO the US or in this case Texas needs to take the same action to secure and defend our borders that our US Military takes in foreign countries to secure and defend their borders.

Yes, Governor Abbot does need to give his National Guard robust rules of engagement to stop the illegal alien invasion. Demonstrations of force like firing blanks or firing in the air is the very minimum. Hungarian border guards have fired their guns to turn back an illegal alien incursion, and so have Greek border guards, in the latter case killing a few of the invaders. If they are apprehended on our side of the border, they need to be force marched back to the other side of the border. It is way past time to quit pussy-footing around.
