New conservative SC school board bans CRT at first meeting | Eastern NC Now
also fires superintendent and school board attorney
The newly elected conservative majority on the Berkeley County, South Carolina (a commuter county for Charleston with a population of 230,000) started things off with a bang in the meeting where they took over from a liberal board. The existing superintendant and school board attorney were both fired and new replacements hired. The new board banned Critical Race Theory in the schools and established a citizen committee to review library books for pornographic content.

Our Beaufort County conservatives have only 3 of 9 seats on the board, but they need to press similar issues. Those holdovers who vote liberal need to be targeted for defeat in 2024.
