Spanish populist right Vox Party seeks to repeal climate change law | Eastern NC Now

pushes for energy sovereignty instead

ENCNow

Spain's surging populist / nationalist anti-immigration Vox Party has called for repeal of Spain's Climate Change law.  Vox points out that the law is destroying the middle class and the working class by driving up energy prices so that ordinary people cannot afford energy.  The law, passed by the current Socialist government even prohibits exploration and development of Spain's own energy.

Vox is working with its coalition partner, a traditional conservative party, to have the provinicial government of Castille and Leon, which they control demand that the national government repeal the Climate Change Law.  Looking forward to a likely victory of a rightist govenment under Vox and the traditional conservative Popular Party, which is predicted in the polls, Vox calls for national referenda on energy to give the decision to the people.  It strongly advocates for energy sovereignty to explore and develop Spain's own energy.

It is good to see parties of the right in Europe standing up to the climate alarmist mafia.  In the UK, the surging populist right Reform Party calls Boris Johnson's "net zero" drive on CO2 "net stupid".
