The idea that wind energy would ever be cheap is a myth and always has been,  Now the CEO of the world's largest wind turbine maker, Vestas, is admitting it was always a lie and should not have been used to sell wind energy.

Germany is the poster child for the false promises of wind and solar.  They have gone farther is pushing wind and solar with the Energie Wende (energy transition) under Merkel, and as a result have had the highest residential electric rates in the world for several years, and their also very high commercial rates are causing some industries to move out of Germany.  

Now the EU is spreading this misery to the rest of the continent through its Green Deal.

America is in the crosshairs of the green monster, too, with Biden and his Democrats leading the charge to impose this expensive and unreliable energy from the national level.  Here in North Carolina, it is even worse with leftist governor Roy Cooper being joined by legislative RINO leaders Phil Berger and Tim Moore to ram thorugh NC's green new deal, HB951, in the last legislative session.  Its provisions are even more radical than the EU's Green Deal.  One of those pushing that despicable travesty hard was the newly minted state senator for Beaufort County, RINO Jim Perry.
