Climate lockdowns arrive in the UK's Oxfordshire | Eastern North Carolina Now
draconian travel limits imposed by local government
A local government in the UK is imposing lockdowns on its citizens to fight "climate change". Oxfordshire is being divided into six zones and a permit from local government will be required to leave your zone. Even if someone has the permit, they will only be allowed to leave their zone for 100 days within a year.
Now Oxfordshire is the site of Oxford University, so it probably has as many left wing crazies as NC's Orange County, site of UNC-Chapel Hill, but this is still a horrible anti-freedom precedent. One should remember that the UK's "Professor Lockdown" of the Covid regime, Dr. Neal Ferguson, had a married climate alarmist activist as his mistress, so this tyranny spreading from Covid to climate should not have been unexpected.
