new grassroots organization seeks to move UK Tories back to the right | Eastern NC Now

funded by Conservative billionare Lord Crudas; globalist PM Sunak put on notice

ENCNow

A new grassroots movement within the UK's Conservative Party is pushing back against the globalist regime of Prime Minister Rishi Sunak as it seeks to move the Conservative Party back to the right, and give more power within the party organization to the grassroots members instead of the parliamentary leadership.  It is both headed and funded by billionare Lord Peter Cruddas, a major donor to the Conservative Party and its former party Treasurer.  Lord Cruddas topped the Financial Times list as the richest man in the City of London (the British financial district). He has given 4 million pounds to the Conservative Party in recent years.

The new Conservative Democratic Organization is writing a proposed new party constitution that will shift power into the hands of the party's grassroots members.  Among major changes would be to place absolute control of candidate selection in local Conservative constituency associations and remove the control by the Conservative central office.  It would make the party chairman directly elected by the party members and make it easier for motions to be put forward from the floor at national party conferences.

Among the major party leaders, often called the "Big Beasts", the first to endorse the new movement has been former Home Secretary Priti Patel, a major small "c" conservative within the party who has been an outspoken opponent of illegal immigration.

One bone of contention is the parliamentary party imposing Sunak as Prime Minister without a vote of the party members.
