Beaufort County school board elects Republican leadership | Eastern NC Now

on 7 to 2 board, GOP elects chairman and vice chairman

ENCNow

The Beaufort County Board of Education, with 7 Republican members and 2 Democrats, elected full Republican leadership last night.  All nominations were made by Republican members of fellow Republicans, and no opposing candidates were nominated.  As expected the new leaders were from the holdover members.

T. W. Allen was elected chairman and Terry Williams vice chairman.  Williams was regarded as the most conservative member of the board prior to the last election, and Allen has generally voted for conservative positions.

Good for them. It looks like we elected real Republicans to our school board, not phonies like Waters and Rebhnolz on the county commission who seem to be happy being front men for the Democrats.
