DPI's Governor's School has become center for left wing political indoctrination | Eastern NC Now

And this is under a "Republican" DPI Superintendant !

ENCNow

The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (DPI)'s summer residential program for gifted and talented students, the Governors School, has become a hotbed for far left political indoctrination of students according to a report by an organization which is helping Lt. Governor Mark Robinson compile information on politics in the classroom.  Sadly, the elected Superintendant of DPI is a nominal Republican, Catherine Truitt.

The report by No Left Turn in Education is entiled "Governors School: a State Program to Indoctrinate High School Students in Far Left Ideology".  It details the extent to which Critical Race Theory and Radical Gender Theory permeate the administration, staff, and curriculum at Governors School.  The entire report is posted on the Daily Haymaker and can be read here:

An English professor at Governors School was recently fired for giving three optional lectures that questioned CRT, and he has filed suit against DPI for wrongful firing. Truitt has defended that firing.

Truitt will face reelection in 2024 and is expected to have a conservative primary challenge.

DPI boss Catherine Truitt is a RINO who badly needs defeat in the 2024 primary. I hope conservatives will put up a strong candidate against her. Truitt is a useful idiot for the left.
