Greek trial begins for NGO migrant rescue workers charged with human trafficking | Eastern NC Now

Illegal immigration has roiled life in many of the Greek islands off the Turkish coast as illegal alien migrants try to land there, often with the assistance of "migrant rescue" NGOs.  Greece's conservative New Democracy government is fighting back.  Twenty four workers of the Emergency Response Center Interrnational (ERCI), one of the NGOs involved have been arrested and charged with Human Trafficking.  Their criminal felony trials have begun and other similar NGOs are under criminal investigation.

There are probably similar groups in the US that should be prosecuted on similar charges, perhaps by states like Texas and Florida.
