Biden Admin: 13-Year-Olds Are Too Young For TikTok, Old Enough To Change Genders

    The current stance of the Biden administration appears to be that 13-year-olds are too young for TikTok but old enough to change their gender.

    The twisted logic can only be understood from the standpoint that the Left is only interested in amassing power - not in protecting children.

    This week, U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy warned that social media, such as TikTok, can warp a child's identity.

    "It's a time, you know, early adolescence, where kids are developing their identity, their sense of self," Murthy explained. "It's a time where it's really important for us to be thoughtful about what's going into how they think about their own self-worth and their relationships, and the skewed and often distorted environment of social media often does a disservice to many of those children."

    As The Daily Wire reported, President Joe Biden advocated to "hold social media platforms accountable for the national experiment they're conducting on our children for profit" during last year's State of the Union address.

    Biden's and Murthy's statements can and should be equally applied to the radical gender theory as purveyors of that insanity.

    Yet, rather than warn about the dangers of gender dysmorphia and making radical decisions that will affect you for the rest of your life, the message from the federal government is that we must do everything to support minors who think they can alter their genders.

    After Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis moved to ban sex-change surgeries and other medical therapies for children, the Biden administration rebuked those who support such laws.

    In June 2022, Biden signed an executive order ordering the Department of Health and Human Services to expand efforts to increase the ability of Americans (including children) who identify as transgender to obtain sex-change surgeries.

    Shortly after, Biden's Assistant HHS Secretary - born Richard Levine, but now asks to be called "Rachel" - announced that public officials should work to make gender-affirming care more readily available to children.

    "Every major medical association agrees: gender-affirming care is life-saving, medically necessary, age-appropriate and a critical tool for health care providers," Levine said in 2022.

    What does "gender-affirming care" really mean? Well, as The Daily Wire reported last year, Biden's HHS holds that "gender-affirming care" can include procedures such as "'top' surgery - to create male-typical chest shape or enhance breasts" or "'bottom' surgery - surgery on genitals or reproductive organs."

    In other words, it is the mutilation of children. Murthy, for his part, rejects the idea that such practices are "child abuse."

    So why would the Biden administration acknowledge that teenagers are still shaping their own identity, yet turn around and demand that they be able to change their gender down to their body parts?

    The simple answer is that advocating caution against TikTok doesn't threaten Leftist political power. It could even help them: Should the government ever regulate social media under the guise of protecting children from harm, it might even make it more likely that Democrats could legally censor what they bogusly deem "misinformation."

    However, if they were to apply the same logic to "transgender youth" as they do iPhone apps, then they would lose complete leverage in the culture war battle, and thus give a political victory to Republicans for decades to come.

    Consider that in the fall, at the signing of the "Respect for Marriage Act," Biden demanded, "We need to challenge the hundreds of callous, cynical laws introduced in the states targeting transgender children, terrifying families, and criminalizing doctors who give children the care they need."

    So it seems that, unlike his aforementioned stance about social media profiteering, Biden isn't concerned with holding doctors and professionals "accountable for the national experiment they're conducting on our children for profit" via sex-change procedures. It would appear he is more concerned with demonizing his political opponents to defeat them - and the easiest way to do that is through the culture war.

    The Left's ultimate goal is to transform America into a collectivist nation, completely unattached to its founding ideals, heritage, and creed. In order to do that, they must dismantle the cornerstones of American society. They've already changed the definition of marriage, but now their goal is to entirely redefine what it means to be a man and a woman.

    Supporting TikTok isn't crucial to those overarching objectives, but supporting "gender-affirming care" for minors is.
