Washington AG moves to bring Ministry of Truth to his state | Eastern NC Now

Orwellian attempt to crush free speech includes thought police

ENCNow

George Orwell, call your office.  A new attempt to set up a Ministry of Truth is underway in the state of Washington.

Washington Atttorney General is pushing legislation to set up a 13 member panel to determine what constitutes "misinformation" and "disinformation" and what speech rises to the level of "domestic violence extremism".  Targeted individuals could be forced to undergo reeducation.  The panel is designed to let the likes of Antifa and BLM off the hook and focus on conservatives who disagree with the liberal narrative of the state government.  Frequently, it is in fact the liberal narrative that is wrong, not the conservative response to it.

A local radio talk show host has called this blatant attack of free speech "the most dangerous bill in legislative history"  As Orwell pointed out "freedom of speech is your right to say what I don't want to hear.

This is yet another example of where it is the Democrats which are a threat to our democracy.  Freedom of speech is an essential cornerstone of democracy and the Democrats want to crush it.
