    Good Afternoon Everyone,

Our office is currently monitoring an increasing possibility for windy conditions this weekend with a possibility of severe storms on Saturday. Current forecast details are vague, but include the following for Beaufort County.

    Severe Weather

Confidence in the development of a line of potentially severe storms that will move across the state on Saturday is increasing. Current forecast models suggest the greatest risk of storms will occur between 11am and 7pm.

Please see the email below and attached briefing from the National Weather Service for more information. We will continue to pass along updates as we receive them.

    Good Morning,

There is increasing confidence that strong S to SW winds ahead of a cold front will bring at least minor impacts to the region on Saturday. The most uncertain aspect of the forecast revolves around the coverage and intensity of afternoon storms, so please continue to monitor subsequent forecasts as we refine the details.

Please see the attached briefing for a quick overview. The next briefing will be issued Thursday morning.

    Thanks,

    NWS Morehead City
