Pro-DeSantis Super PAC Raises Massive $30 Million In Less Than 4 Weeks | Eastern North Carolina Now

A new pro-Ron DeSantis super PAC that was just established on March 9 has reportedly raised a staggering $30 million in less than four weeks.

Never Back Down raised the money for a prospective DeSantis presidential campaign without counting any funds from any other committee, including DeSantis' state political committee, which had already raised more than $82 million, an official with the super PAC told The New York Times, adding that half of the donations came from outside Florida. As a federal super PAC, Never Back Down is permitted to raise unlimited funds.

Never Back Down, led by former Acting Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security Kenneth T. Cuccinelli II, "has seen a massive surge in support for the movement to make Gov. DeSantis become President DeSantis," Erin Perrine, the super PAC's communications director who formerly served as the press communications director for former President Donald Trump's 2020 campaign, tweeted.

Never Back Down has hired Jeff Roe, a key aide in campaigns for Senator Ted Cruz of Texas and Gov. Glenn Youngkin of Virginia. Roe, viewing DeSantis and Trump as the only two viable GOP presidential candidates, stated recently that there was "no room for a third or fourth, or even fifth person in this race."

"I have been speaking to many grassroots conservative activists around the country who are very enthusiastic for Governor DeSantis to run for President in 2024," Cuccinelli said in a statement after launching his Never Back Down PAC. "The energy is there, grassroots conservatives see the Governor as a leader and a fighter with a winning conservative track record who will lead the Republican Party to victory in 2024. Based on those conversations, I am most confident that we will build an unmatched grassroots political army for Governor DeSantis to help carry him to the White House."

"Governor DeSantis has a proven record defending freedom, defending parental rights, defending the unborn, defending our children," said Cuccinelli, adding, "America's future is Ron DeSantis. Ron DeSantis doesn't just talk; he acts, but most of all he never backs down. Governor DeSantis, today I'm asking you to run for President. You've had our back now we will have yours."

Last week, Never Back Down released a video called "Waco Crickets," which showed the roaring crowd at the March 25 Waco rally for Trump remaining silent when he criticized DeSantis for roughly six minutes. A clip was released by Mediaite, which reported, "Compared to how Trump's crowd normally reacts to his bits, the reaction to his mocking DeSantis was practically dead air."

In the most recent Midterms Election, the "Republican Red Wave" turned out to be a "Republican Red Ripple," which, as in all elections, confounded the political prognosticators of what to expect down the governing /political road: What, and who, do you think is best for this meandering Representative Republic in the near future?
Because they know how to best allocate the public's money back to the right part of the public, the Democrats will NOW always prevail and get my vote.
With patriotic pragmatism the cornerstone of the best of the Republican Party, they will ultimately save this Constitutional Republic from self-destruction.
Since the Executive Branch is so important to turn this Representative Republic around, I am still on Team Trump in 2024.
Since the nation may need a different path to Conservative patriotism in the Executive, I am joining Team DeSantis.
Because I am entitled to take the government dole, the prevailing favoritism whenever possible, I will support any, and every Democrat candidate.
