Third Democrat legislator in a month switches to GOP | Eastern NC Now
are the rats leaving the sinking ship?
Louisiana State Representative Jeremy LaCombe, who represents a district in West Baton Rouge Parish and was first elected in 2019 has announced that he is changing his party registration from Democrat to Republican. He becomes the third state legislator in a month to switch from Democrat to Republican.
The other two who have swirched are North Carolina State Representative Tricia Cotham of Mecklenburg County, and Louisiana State Representative Francis Thompson, who has repreented a district in rural northeast Louisiana for 50 years.
Elon Musk put out a chart showing how parties have changed in the last decade or so and driven many people out of the Democrat Party as it galloped leftward:
