Tucker Carlson is the highest rated news host in the world, indeed in the history of television. His loss to Fox News sent their stock down more than their stupid settlement with Dominion.. So why would Fox's corporate leaders push him out the door?
There are excuses and then there are reasons. Some are pointing to the fact that he went after Big Pharma, a major TV advertiser, shortly before he was let go. Others that Fox was afraid he would raise questions about their cave-in to the Dominion lawsuit. Others that Fox itself is moving left, pointing out that they pushed out another rock ribbed conservative, Dan Bonginto a few days earlier. The leftwing New York Times thinks it is largely internal, but who cares for their spin?

The response even went international as El Salvador's president expressed support for Carlson and concern that there would be a smear campaign against him.

I'll bet Fox's rivals OneAmerica News and NewsMax are beating down Carlson's door. If either of them can snag Carlson, they may leapfrog over Fox.
