far left politician says Macron could be beheaded like Louis XVI | Eastern NC Now

As bitter protests in France continue against President Macron bypassing parliament to raise the retirement age, a far left politician has openly warned that Macron could be beheaded like Louis XVI, the king who was guillotined during the French Revolution.  Christophe Prudhomme, an elected regional councillor from the far left La France Insoumise party made the threat outside Marcon's party headquarters in Paris.  Crowds have taken up the chant "Louis XVI, we beheaded him.  Macron, we can start again."

Recently, Macron's police have arrested a woman for a social media post calling Macron "a piece of filth" and three people for flipping the bird at Macron.  It remains to be seen what they will do with Prudhomme.
