Sen. Ted Budd joins Senate GOP letter against deep state and DEI | Eastern NC Now

countering Bideb's administrative state

ENCNow

A group of Republican Senators including North Carolina's Ted Budd, heave signed a letter to the Office of Management and Budget raising complaints about Biden's recent Executive Order to revise the regulatory process in a way that expands the administrative state at the expense of the elected legislative branch.  The letter was organized by Senator Eric Schmidt of Missouri.

One major issue raised was Biden injecting the "woke" DEI concept (Diveristy, Equity, Inclusion) into the rulemaking process.  Another was manipulating the cost / benefit formula to hide the real cost of new regulations.

"These revisions will create a system that will simply allow for more expensive regulations and less review, further empowering unelected federal bureaucrats," the letter asserted.  Other Senators signing the letter were Sens. Mike Braun, Mike Lee, Bill Hargerty, John Thune, John Barrasso, Kevin Cramer, and Cynthia Lummis.

It is not surprising that RINO Thom Tillis is MIA on this letter and this issue.
