North Carolina's conservative US Senator Ted Budd (R-NC) has announced his opposition to McCarthy's new debt ceiling increase bill.  "Throughout this process, I have said that we should only raise the debt ceiling if we fix Washington's spending addiction," Budd declared. "This bill fails to do that.  The bill nornalizes pandemic era spending levels, greenlights trillions more, and maintains the vast majority of President Biden's IRS expansion. .  .  This final product does not fundamentally alter our country's disastrous fiscal path."

Unfortunately, NC's liberal Republican US Senator Thom Tillis will probably cancel out Budd's vote by supporting this big spending nightmare of Kevin McCarthy, but we have one of our US Senator, at least, standing up for taxpayers.  We can be proud of Senator Budd, just as we are disgusted at sell out Congressman Greg "TaxAudit" Murphy.

UPDATE:  Republicans in the Senate rejected McCarthy's turd sandwich with 31 voting NO and only 17, including liberal Thom Tillis voting yes.  It passed overall due to heavy support from Democrats.  It Traitor Thos Tillis and four other RINOs had voted with the taxpayers, we would have stopped this rape of America.
