A new detailed analysis of North Carolina's new Obamacare Medicaid expansion law, pushed through by the RINO NC legislative leadership this year and its complex structure shows that it is likely to increase the costs to state taxpayers, to citizens medical insurance premiums, and to healthcare costs.  The analysis was done by researchers at Johns Hopkins University.  It does, however, create a windfall for hospitals.

The major pushers of this leftwing legislation were the RINO House and Senate leadership, led by Phil Berger and Tim Moore, but several local legislators played major roles in pushing it through, Senator Jim Perry (RINO-Lenoir), Rep. Tim Reeder (RINO-Pitt) and Rep. George Humphries (RINO-Lenoir).

Conservative Rep. Keith Kidwell (R-Beaufort) was one of the leading opponents as was Sen. Norm Sanderson (R-Pamlico)
