CNN interviewed a group of "lifelong Democrat" mothers from across the country who are supporters of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis because of the policies that he advocated for during the COVID pandemic.

The group of women is comprised of everyone from teachers to high-powered lawyers to former executives at major companies.

"If DeSantis were to run tomorrow, he would win, and that would be such a hard pill to swallow, I think, for many people," said Vanessa Steinkamp, a teacher.

Steinkamp has been an avid DeSantis supporter for years, saying that his actions and words were backed by sincere "conviction" from the now-presidential candidate.

"I've been down all over Florida, and you know what they all say? He helped my business open up," she later added. "He helped my kids go to school. The media just fixates on the culture war pieces."

Attorney Julie Hamill said that the group of moms, who met on social media, refer to the governor in a playful way as "Daddy DeSantis."

"I have never voted for a Republican presidential candidate," Hamill said. "I have always considered myself very socially liberal. But as we became more vocal on Twitter, we were really demonized."

Jennifer Sey, the former Brand President of Levis, said that the women gravitated toward him because "he was very vocal" about "the need to open schools" during the pandemic.

"In San Francisco, you could go to a bar or a strip club, but my high school student couldn't go to English class," Sey said.

CNN told their left-wing audience that data from the Department of Education shows that the moms "aren't crazy" because children, especially minority children, were significantly hurt by the lockdowns and remote learning. The network noted that DeSantis was "early to open schools compared to other U.S. states."

Sey said that the political Left does not want to have a debate about what public officials got wrong during the pandemic.

"The Left doesn't want to have that debate. They're never going to allow that debate," she said. "I think there's a lot of kind of incendiary tactics being used to smear [DeSantis]. I think they did."

Sey said that she did not have an issue with DeSantis' fight against radical transgender ideologies, but she has some reservations about Florida's six-week abortion ban. "I think if he made it clear that he's a state's rights person and that he's not looking to kind of pass a national law in this regard, I would be less concerned," she said.

Hamill also did not like the six-week abortion ban and worried that it could hurt his campaign.

The network said that none of the women want to see a rematch between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump and that they're open to voting for DeSantis.

In the most recent Midterms Election, the "Republican Red Wave" turned out to be a "Republican Red Ripple," which, as in all elections, confounded the political prognosticators of what to expect down the governing /political road: What, and who, do you think is best for this meandering Representative Republic in the near future?
Because they know how to best allocate the public's money back to the right part of the public, the Democrats will NOW always prevail and get my vote.
With patriotic pragmatism the cornerstone of the best of the Republican Party, they will ultimately save this Constitutional Republic from self-destruction.
Since the Executive Branch is so important to turn this Representative Republic around, I am still on Team Trump in 2024.
Since the nation may need a different path to Conservative patriotism in the Executive, I am joining Team DeSantis.
Because I am entitled to take the government dole, the prevailing favoritism whenever possible, I will support any, and every Democrat candidate.
