de-transitioned young NC woman sues doctors over gender surgery | Eastern NC Now

A young North Carolina woman has sued a number of doctors and counselors responsible for gender transition hormone treatment and surgery that she says have permanently harmed her.  After minimal counseling, Prisha Mosley was started on testosterone treatments at age 17 and had both breasts removed.  She says what she really needed was mental health counseling to deal with her mental health issues, not gender transition, and that the doctors interest was primarily money and fame, not her best interests.  Mosley is now 25 and transitioned back to living as a woman, as she was born.

Mosley is seeking money to rebuild her breasts.  She says she has been left with a deep voice, facial and body hair, a damaged vagina, chronic neck and shoulder pain, infertility, and inability to breastfeed, and is seeking damages for those permanent injuries.

The lawauir has been filed in Gaston County, North Carolina, and is just the latest case where a de-transitioner is suing the doctors who transitioned them.

Meanwhile, the Louisiana legislature has overriden their Democrat governor's veto of a bill that outlaws use of surgery or drugs for gender transition of minors in that state.

North Carolina's General Assembly has passed similar legislation here, and our leftwing Democrat governor has vetoed it.  That veto is also expected to be overridden.
