Optimism | Eastern North Carolina Now

We are in the dog days of summer.  There are plenty of negative things to worry over.  Grocery stores are depressing, the Biden crime family is dragging us down, the size of the Ukraine war is growing and escalating, corruption in all governments in the United States is depressing, fewer people are working with welfare rolls growing, and  with the changing hands of every dollar we are shamed into donating more and more for those who pretend hardship.  Finally, we are badgered to believe the weather is going to kill us, either from overheating or violent storms. This is enough to make one want to curl into a ball and sleep for a month or two.

At present we have an unusually heavy load of wars and rumors of wars and plagues and rumors of plagues.  We, being human, have the ability to change and improve all of these conditions.  All of these negative things are brought on ourselves by either our bad judgment or the bad judgment of other people who hold public office.  They were elected by us, and they can be removed by us.

This process begins, in a small way with the city elections coming up this November and can be fully corrected with the November of 2024 general elections.  Unfortunately, we have to suffer until the honest, common sense, Christian, capitalists arrive during November of 2024.

The group of candidates offering to serve us in the municipal elections, to be held during November of 2023, is not impressive.   This should spur us to find better candidates for the 2024 elections.  In North Carolina general election candidates register to run during December of 2023.  The Presidential candidates will be selected during the first part of 2024.

We the people, you and me, have voted for the people who are now ruining our nation and determining our way of life.  We can change this by changing the people who are running government.  Considering our ability to change government and the sad state of government, voting for incumbents is not a good idea.  Voting the same people back into office, regardless of how much you like them, will not change government.

This is why the primary elections are vital to the survival of the United State as a capitalist nation and the survival of the Constitution and Bill of Rights.  Changing out politicians can only be done in the primary elections.  Incumbents, who survive primary elections, stand a good chance of winning the general election.

The voting tendency of most people is based on name recognition, “the devil you know.”  Unless that person has clearly stood up for the right things during their term in office, please do not vote for them.  Elected politicians are skillful liars.  I can think of several who vote the “right way” on enough issues to make people think they are on their side.  The same officials will cast votes on critical issues that are contrary to their constituents’ basic beliefs. Some of these issues are; illegal immigration, increased spending and big government.  That political cloud of uncertainty around a politician helps him/her get reelected.  Unless there is a clear and certain stance taken by the elected official he should be voted out of office.  Donald Trump is an example of an official that everyone knows where he stands.  Look at every other official standing for elections the same way you look at Trump.  If you are not certain, vote him out of office!

The Beaufort County School Board, and possibly your school board if you do not live in Beaufort County, are good examples of elected officials who are not serving the will of the public.  This Board hides behind the excuse of “State law”.  Board members deflect most questions about controversial issues by either saying the “State made them do it” or having the Superintendent give you a call.  The Curriculum Committee, sponsored by both the Conservative Club and the Better Government Committee, has determined the School Board has full authority, without the State dictating, to select curriculums and lesson plans.  School Boards are supposed run schools and set policy.  The Beaufort County School Board has catered to ultra liberals and made the system into a bureaucratic quagmire.  This has allowed liberals to infect education with a lot of bad ideas, like critical race theory, modern math, and the purchase, at great expense, of socialized curriculums.  Discipline is a serious problem, and most Beaufort County schools are failures when evaluated with standardized testing.

This is a prime example of rolling over elected officials.  Five of the nine members of the School Board are up for election in November of 2024.    Three members were replaced with conservatives in the 2022 elections. One of those has rolled over and voted liberal on the most important issue in front of the Board during the past two years.  That was the purchase of a liberal math canned curriculum that is infected with “woke” dogma.

If all five were replaced in 2024, we would have a new common-sense majority, even if  two of the five were to defect to the socialists.  Help recruit candidates.   Call 252-943-5939 if you think y you want to run.  These seats are by district. Rolling this board over will be a revolution to Beaufort County education.

Another area for dramatic change in government is the Beaufort County Board of Commissioners.  We have the worst of both the Democrat and Republican Parties.   Two RINOs  (Republicans In Name Only) joined with the two Democrats on the Board to gain control of the Board.  They are all liberal and enjoy spending money and over=taxing the public.  Randy Walker was elected as a Conservative Republican. He has now joined the Gang of Four (Waters, Rebholz, Langley and Booth.  His function is to provide the fourth liberal vote when John Rebholz votes with the conservatives.  Rebholz is a Republican who needs a cloud around him.  He is running for re-election and needs to look conservative to fool the voting public. Randy Walker is running in 2024 also, but he believes the school vote will put him in office because his wife is on the school Board. Both husbands and wives serving on County Commissioners and School Boards at the same time may be legal, but it is not ethical.

The Republican Party is split into two factions in Beaufort County.  They are conservatives and liberals or RINOs. There are four seats up for election in 2024.  It looks like all four incumbents are going to run again.  They are: Randy Walker a RINO, John Rebholz a RINO, and Hood Richardson a Conservative.  Jerry Langley, a Democrat is the fourth candidate.  This is another example for rolling over a board to get better government.  The rollover has to be done in the primary.  The Republicans need a minimum of five candidates in order to defeat Rebholz and Walker in the general election in November.

The 2024 primary is a a good opportunity for conservative Democrats to run for office.  Only Langley has been a candidate during the past few elections.  He gets all of the Democrat vote, both black and white.  If any other Democrat would run, he would stand a good chance of getting elected. If you are a Democrat wanting to run, approaching the Democrat Party is a bad idea.  They will protect their man by trying to talk you out of running. The same advice applies to the Republican Party.  If you need accurate political advice do not approach either party.  The Conservative Club will help you. Make sure you are registered Democrat  or Republican before  early September in order to sign up and run.  The same strategy applies to all State and federal Offices.  Almost all of our Federal and State officials need to be replaced.

This may be “Alice in Wonderland” optimism, but it is all we have.  If you want to change your life, start by changing politicians.  Today, politicians have too much influence on your life.  That needs to be changed!

In each case, it goes back to Management. Who is in Charge? Change the Method, change the results. This only happens when we the people follow what is going on and get involved. Your school system is a failure because of Management. Yes, there have been difficulties. That is when you find out if you have the right management or if you need to find more capable people. From the above information, it appears that we need to change management.
