13 illegal aliens arrested for starting wildfires in Greece | Eastern NC Now

Arson has been the main cause of European wildfires this season, as opposing to the sparking downed power lines in Maui.. Greece has just announced the arrest of 13 illegal aliens from Syria and Pakistan for arson in starting wildfires near the Turkish border.
There had been several wildfires recently near Alexandroupolis that had been extinguished. A local businessman saw thirteen illegal aliens trying to start a wildfire, enlisted two other Greeks and made a citizens arrest, locking them in a storeroom and calling police.. The local prosecutor has now charged the 13 with arson.
There have been a number of instances in America where illegal aliens have been apprehended for lighting wildfires, and there have also been some cases of environmental activists lighting them, too.
