Drug Bust: Opiates | Eastern North Carolina Now

    On May 14, 2013, Deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division served arrest warrants on Christopher Michael Hudson, age 24, of 70 Moon Rd. in Washington and Nancy Rifest Keyes, age 42, of 30 Moon Rd. in Washington.

    Deputies were dispatched to the Moon Rd. by the Sheriff’s Office 911 Communications Center in reference to a domestic disturbance at Hudson’s residence. Deputies made contact with both Hudson and Keyes after arriving on scene and discovered both had active arrest warrants. The arrest warrants stemmed from an investigation conducted by Diversion Investigator Greg Rowe into Hudson and Keyes’ involvement in the distribution of opiate based prescription pain medication. Investigator Rowe along with other members of the Drug Unit conducted controlled purchases of Morphine from Hudson and Keyes.



    Christopher Hudson was charged with Possession with Intent to sell and deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance, Conspiracy to Sell and Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance, and Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Schedule IV Controlled Substance. Hudson was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $15,000 secured bond. Nancy Keyes was charged with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance and Conspiracy to Sell and Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance. Keyes was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond.
