Offshore wind turbines are a threat to national security | Eastern NC Now

Offshore wind turbines are one of the most expensive ways known to make electricity and are an environmental threat to whales, seabirds, and other wildlife. But even worse, they are a severe threat to national security because they block or distort defense radar images.  The previous Democrat administration in Virginia paved the way for a massive deployement of offshore wind turbines near the key naval base at Norfolk, at least partly blinding its defense radar.

Now, the British Ministry of Defense is raising an alarm that their government's latest "Net Zero" plans for more offshore wind turbines in the North Sea threaten to blind the UK's defensive radar network there, which is important to detect mischief by Russia.

This problem of blinding radar is inherent to any wind turbines, but the dangers increase when one considers that the majority of them are Chinese made or have Chinese components which could contain further Trojan horse devices with military uses.  Offshore wind turbines are a threat to national defense.
